Privacy Policy
The Liquid Library · Last updated 19 September 2026
The Liquid Library is a home-bar inventory app for iPhone. This policy describes what the app does with your information. The short version: it collects nothing, and there is no server of ours for it to collect anything to.
What we collect
Nothing. The Liquid Library has no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting service and no third-party SDKs of any kind. The app contains no networking code. We do not operate a server, we have no account system, and we never see your data.
Where your data lives
Everything you enter — bottles, pours, recipes, the date book, ratings, notes and prices — is stored on your iPhone, in the app's own database.
If you are signed in to iCloud, that database is also mirrored to your private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit, so the same library appears on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. That data lives in your personal iCloud storage under your Apple Account. It is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and the developer of The Liquid Library has no access to it and no way to read it.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app still works; the data simply stays on that one device.
What the app shares
Nothing is shared with anyone. There is no social feature, no sharing feature, no upload, no export to a third party, and no way for another person to see your library.
The widget
The Cocktail of the Day widget reads a small summary file that the app writes into a shared App Group container on your device — a count of your bottles and the drinks you can currently make. That file never leaves your iPhone.
Children
The Liquid Library is a tool for adults tracking their own alcohol collection and is rated accordingly on the App Store. It is not directed at children, and it collects no information from anyone.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes its local database. To also remove the synced copy, delete the app and then turn off iCloud storage for Liquid Library under Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Because there is no account with us, there is nothing else for you to ask us to delete.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the date above will be revised.
