Skate Tracker — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 September 2026

Skate Tracker is made by MagnusJune. This policy says exactly what the app stores, what leaves your phone, and what we can see. It is short because the app collects very little.

The short version

Your tricks, games, sessions and videos are yours. They live on your phone and in your own iCloud account, and we cannot see them. The only thing we ever store is a small public profile, and only if you choose to sign in and join the Crew.

What stays on your device

These are saved in your device's private iCloud database (Apple's CloudKit) so they sync between your own devices. That database belongs to your Apple ID. We have no access to it — not the developer, not anyone else.

If you never sign in, the app stores nothing about you anywhere else.

Videos

Videos are never uploaded. There is no server that receives them and no cloud storage in the app.

A clip you record in Video mode is written to your phone's temporary storage. If you tap Save it is copied into your own Photos library. Anything you don't save is deleted when you leave the game screen. A "best clip" you pin to a trick stays in the app's own storage on the device.

The app asks for camera and microphone access only to record those attempts, and for photo library access only to add clips you have chosen to save.

What we store, if you join the Crew

Signing in is optional. The app works fully without an account. If you do sign in, we store the following using Google Firebase:

Your account (Firebase Authentication)

If you use Sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, we only ever receive Apple's private relay address, never your real one.

Your public profile (Firebase Firestore) — visible to people who add you

That is the entire profile. Your friends can see those three counts. **They cannot see your footage** — sharing clips is deliberately not a feature.

What we do not do

Who else is involved

Both process that data on our behalf so the app can work. Nobody else receives it.

Deleting your account

Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes your profile, releases your username, and removes your friend connections, along with your login itself.

Data held in your own iCloud database is not ours to delete — remove the app and its iCloud data from your Apple ID settings, or delete records in the app.

Children

Skate Tracker is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If a child has signed in and you would like the account removed, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top and, where the change matters, say so in the app.
